Metroplan serves as the regional voice on issues affecting Central Arkansas, develops transportation plans required by federal law, and convenes stakeholders to deal with common environmental issues. Metroplan also provides information and staff resources to our member governments and the public.
Metroplan is an association of local governments that has operated by inter-local agreement since 1955. Originally formed as the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of Pulaski County, Metroplan now has members in Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline, Lonoke and Grant Counties. Metroplan is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) under Title 23 of the United States Code.
TIP Amendment Public Comment Period
The public is invited to review and submit comments on a proposed amendment to the FFY 2019 Annual Element (AE) of the Central Arkansas Regional Transportation Study (CARTS) FY 2019- 2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The purpose of the amendment is to move the project scheduling from 2018 to 2019 and to reflect full project funding in the 2019-2022 CARTS TIP. The project was included in the 2018 Agreed Upon List of Projects of the 2016-2020 CARTS TIP.
The public comment period is from Sunday, January 6, 2019, through close of business day on Tuesday, January 22, 2019
