1. Supplemental Call for Projects (STBG & TAP) – FFY 2027
| Metroplan is excited to announce the issuance of a supplemental call for FFY 2027 projects to full allocate its federal allotment of 2027 funding and carryover authority from 2026. These funds must be obligated in FFY 2027 by September and therefore are prioritized towards existing projects. Metroplan has $5,000,000 in available funding. Projects eligible for additional funding must have previously received a Metroplan award, have an existing ArDOT project number, and be able to obligate funds in 2027. Funding requests will be prioritized as follows: 1. Construction projects already bid that need additional funds to cover costs at the required 80/20 federal-local match. 2. Engineering/Design projects requiring additional funding to complete contracted work. 3. Projects authorized to bid but lacking sufficient obligated funds to cover construction costs at the full 80/20 match. 4. Projects anticipated to bid in 2027 but not yet authorized, if funding remains after higher-priority projects are funded. These projects must bid by August 2027 or the funding will be reallocated. Local sponsors must continue providing a 20% cash match of total project costs. Additional funding cannot be used to reduce any existing local overmatch from prior awards. Metroplan will calculate updated local match requirements. Jurisdictions may submit multiple applications for 2027 funding but must rank them in priority order. Funding requests may be made for any amount up to $1 million per project. Final award amounts will consider existing project funding levels and recent awards received by the jurisdiction. Awards exceeding $1 million may be considered if total funding requests are below $5 million and additional funding is needed to fully obligate available funds. |
